Much like Charles Dickens’ David Copperfield might say, “To begin my life with the beginning of my life, i record that i was born … on a Wednesday, at three in the afternoon.” Ok so maybe that is too far back; let’s fast forward a bit.

i started my journey in the leather world with an exploration of Drummer magazine. It was the late 80s. AIDS was running rampant and “safe sex,” not “safer sex,” was the mantra. It would be many years before my mental explorations turned to physical ones. Like anything else, i guess it takes time to adjust to one’s self realizations. While i have always collected different military uniforms, my first piece of leather came from my Sir, Phil. He purchased a pair of chaps for me. i really received a ribbing from him over those. Little did he know where that purchase was going to lead.

In 2001, i received the honor of representing the state of Indiana as Indiana Drummerboy. i am proud to be able to claim affiliation with that establishment. During 2001 and 2002, i feel that i represented the interests of the leather community in the state of Indiana to the best of my abilities. i know that i grew in my knowledge and understanding of what it is to be a leader, role model, and, most importantly, a leather man. In 2006, I held the Indiana Leatherboy 2006 title and increased my understanding and knowledge of leather even further.
