Volunteerism, noun (1835-1845): the principle of donating time and energy for the benefit of other people

in the community as a social responsibility rather than for any financial rewar

GLLA is grateful that so many individuals offer their time and energy as volunteers during GLLA Weekend every year—we couldn’t continue to hold our annual event without folks lending their hands to us!

Over the years, GLLA has grown from a weekend bar event to what’s now become a four day event held in a sold out hotel! As you might guess, as the amount of offered activities and length of our event increase, so do our volunteer needs! And here’s where we need YOU: would you please lend two or more hours of your time and energy during GLLA Weekend? We promise: we’ll make it worth your while!

GLLA offers its volunteers a rebate coupon incentive—and only two hours of volunteering gets you a coupon! After working an assigned shift, the area’s Board Member gives the volunteer a coupon. The volunteer can then redeem the coupon/s earned before 10 am on Sunday for one of two opportunities:

·       Receive a $10.00 cash rebate for each coupon earned/every two hours worked, up to six hours/three coupons (i.e., a $30.00 rebate maximum).

OR

·       Enter a drawing for a fully-paid registration to next year’s GLLA

To volunteer, first register for this year’s GLLA Weekend. Once you have completed your registration, use this link: Volunteer to let us know of your interest and availability preferences for volunteering.  If you have any problems, questions, or specific needs, please feel free to email me at This email address is being protected from spambots.
