The Great Lakes Leather Alliance was founded in early 2002 by Daniel Clark (International Mr. Drummer 2000) and Ms. Kendra (Ms. Indiana Olympus Leather 2002) with the goal of building bridges between the different alternative sexuality communities, providing a pansexual weekend of education, Leather competitions, fun and play. Mike Davis, President of the Midwest Bearpack was the chairman for the event.
The inaugural Great Lakes Leather Alliance weekend (New Attitude), held Aug 23-25, 2002 was a huge success with over 220 registered attendees.
